1. Product boundary
AddonPass provides Base USDC billing, access records on Base, renewals, account management, and integration tooling for private Stremio addons. Developers independently operate and support their addons and remain responsible for content rights, service quality, uptime, and legal compliance. AddonPass is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Stremio.
2. Wallet control
Signing in with a wallet only creates a session; every payment or withdrawal needs a separate approval in your wallet. AddonPass does not hold private keys and cannot recover or replace a developer, subscriber, or shared wallet (multisig) owner.
3. Payments and authorization
Checkout shows the exact USDC price, billing interval, first payment, maximum number of payments, and maximum total spending limit. The first payment is taken when a subscription starts. Future payments can only happen within the fixed price, timing, remaining-payment, grace period, and cancellation rules.
4. Final payments and voluntary refunds
Confirmed AddonPass payments are final. AddonPass does not issue, arbitrate, or reverse refunds. A subscriber may ask the addon developer for a voluntary direct refund; that developer alone decides and pays it. Cancellation remains a separate action required to stop future payments.
5. Access and availability
A paid subscription does not guarantee an addon's uptime, catalog, media, or external provider. The install link is private; anyone who has it can use the access until it expires or the subscriber replaces the link.
6. Blockchain and smart contracts
AddonPass runs on Base, a public blockchain, and provides its services through a smart contract. The contract is immutable by design: its code cannot be changed or upgraded after it is deployed. Once a transaction is confirmed, AddonPass has no way to reverse it or issue a refund.
7. Technical specification
- EIP-4361 (Sign-In with Ethereum) — authenticates a session without sending a transaction.
- EIP-5792 — batches the USDC approval and the subscription payment into one wallet confirmation, where the wallet supports it.
- EIP-712 — typed-data signing used for permit-based approvals.
- EIP-2612 (USDC permit) — lets some wallets pre-approve without a separate approval transaction.
- EIP-7702 — recognized as a wallet capability (smart EOA); AddonPass never asks you to sign a delegation itself.
- EIP-2255 — wallet-connection permissions only, never spending authority.
