Developer documentation
What do you need to do?
Start with the job in front of you. Every guide is clear about what AddonPass handles and what stays with you.
Protect a Stremio addon
Run the AddonPass check in your server before every JSON handler.
Read guide 02ConceptsHow access checks work
See how the install token is hashed, how the credential is scoped, how results are cached, and what happens if AddonPass is unreachable.
Read guide 03TestingTry it in test mode
Switch the dashboard to Test and use free test USDC and ETH from the official faucets, so nothing costs real money.
Read guide 04TestingTest an integration
Check that non-subscribers are blocked, responses are valid Stremio JSON, CORS works, and install links are built correctly.
Read guide 05SecurityReplace an API credential
Swap the credential on your server without exposing subscriber install links.
Read guide 06SecurityBlock unprotected routes
Make sure the unprotected manifest and any old host cannot be reached.
Read guide 07SubscribersHandle expiry and renewal
Return useful Stremio JSON without opening access.
Read guide 08PaymentsAccept donations
Use a one-time plan as your donate link: one fixed payment, nothing renews.
Read guide 09SetupIntegrate with an AI agent
Copy a prompt that tells your coding agent exactly how to add the AddonPass check.
Read guideExample addons
Start from a working addon.
Two small open source Stremio addons you can copy: one fully paid with subscriptions, and one free with a donation option.
The integration boundary
AddonPass decides access. Your server serves the addon.
Nothing sits between Stremio and your handlers: no media proxy, no public wrapper, no separate gateway.
